Get it right away here: 2019 Marketing Campaign Planning Template by DoraSeeks.com
If you haven’t used one of my templates before, go ahead right now and check out my previous annual marketing calendar template for 2018 for more details.
What’s New In The New Marketing Campaign Planning Template For 2019?
I barely changed anything, due to the extremely positive feedback I received on the one for 2018.
Nevertheless, I have decided to add one last page called “Daily Posts”. That sheet is basically a copy of another one of your favourite Daily Social Media Post Planning Template.
How Do You Plan To Do Marketing In 2019?
There are many things to consider and a lot of research you need to do on your own. Each industry and target audience has different characteristics and what works in the medical industry will most probably not work in the banking sector.
Here are a few things you might want to think about, because nobody can give you a universal formula for marketing success in 2019:
- What were my target audience’s most favourite posts/articles/videos/products/campaigns in 2018?
- Did I do something in 2018 which was not at all liked by my target audience?
- What signals is my target audience giving me?
- Has my target audience changed?
- Is there a channel/media that did not have sufficient ROI in 2018, that I want to drop in 2019?
- What was trending in my industry in 2018 and what are the predictions for 2019?
- Did my competitors do something awesome in 2018, that I wish I had thought about first?
But What Are The General Trends And Predictions For Marketing In 2019?
Same as last year. AI, VR, Video, Visual/Voice search, mobile-first, chatbots, programmatic advertising, personalization, authenticity, influencers… all the “trendy” stuff.
Just Google “Marketing Trends In 2019” and you will get the “big idea”.
But since I assume it’s mostly small businesses and marketing newbies that are reading my blog, I won’t be getting into details about the big trends. Instead, I want to give you a few advices for what you might want to try out for your 2019 Marketing Strategy.
If you want to look trendy and like you know what you are doing – keep up with the stories trend.
And no, I am not talking about Instagram Stories.
There are many ways to present your brand, product or service in a unique and compelling way – storytelling will always be one of the best techniques. I talk more about the power of selling with a story in my article #1 Biggest Mistake Brands Make On Instagram Stories.
Whether it’s with social media stories, videos, blog posts, infographics, or other content, don’t forget to continue to use storytelling in 2019.
If you haven’t noticed people love Snapchat, Tik Tok, and now Instagram/Facebook stories.
Because we love our phones, we are always on the go, we love new things and ideally, there are no distractions in vertical feeds.
In 2019, you definitely want to be thinking vertical-first when you create your web and social media content.
If teens and young adults are part of your target audience and you haven’t yet heard of Tik Tok, you might be missing out… a lot. This is one of the fastest growing short video-based social media, which in my opinion, might soon take over Snapchat’s popularity.
Plan Well & Stay Up-To-Date
Don’t forget that my 2019 Marketing Campaign Planning Template is designed to help you plan your marketing a year ahead, but you should always be on the lookout for what’s going on in your industry and in the marketing field in general.
I personally, find feed.ly as a really useful tool to keep myself informed on the latest happenings in the fields I am interested in.
